Affiliate Disclosure

Learn how Life Insurance Consensus Index may earn compensation through affiliate, referral, lead-generation, or commercial relationships and why those relationships do not affect AI recommendation data or consensus rankings.

Life Insurance Consensus Index may receive compensation when readers use certain links, request information or quotes, connect with a commercial partner, or apply for or purchase a product or service through a qualifying arrangement. These relationships create a potential financial conflict, which this policy addresses through disclosure and separation from the research process.

The publication is owned and operated by 3D Chess Media, LLC, a Nevada limited liability company. Affiliate, referral, lead-generation, marketing, and other commercial arrangements can help fund research, data collection, verification, editorial review, historical tracking, and site operations.

How compensation works

Some links contain tracking parameters, referral identifiers, partner codes, or other attribution technology. A qualifying action through those links may result in compensation to 3D Chess Media, LLC. Payment may come from an agency, marketplace, referral platform, marketing network, or technology provider rather than directly from the insurer that ultimately issues a policy.

We may work with insurance agencies, independent agents, marketplaces, lead buyers, referral services, or other insurance distribution partners. A quote request or contact form submitted through a partner may generate a paid referral. Readers should not assume that every commercial link represents a direct relationship with the named carrier.

In many cases an affiliate link does not increase the consumer’s price. Insurance is individually priced, however, and readers should not assume that affiliation determines a quoted premium.

Rankings remain separate from revenue

Compensation does not determine research inclusion, recommendation counts, coverage, positions, Consensus Scores, study or category rankings, or historical results. Our intended process begins with the consumer scenario and AI research, followed by calculations, factual verification, editorial review, and publication. Commercial links may then be added where appropriate.

A carrier without an affiliate relationship can rank first or lead a category. A commercial partner can rank poorly, receive limited recommendation coverage, fail to qualify for detailed analysis, or lose position in later research. Higher compensation does not create a stronger research result, and ending a relationship does not justify downgrading historical findings.

Consumer demand, commercial intent, and affiliate opportunity may influence which questions we prioritize. They should not determine which carrier performs best in a study. Commercial details are treated separately from research data and should not enter ranking calculations.

Buttons such as “Get a Quote,” “Check Rates,” or “Compare Options” are navigation tools and may involve commercial relationships. They are not research awards. A carrier with a referral pathway may have a quote button while another has a “Visit Carrier” or “Learn More” link; that difference does not establish a difference in research quality.

A partner may not offer every carrier, policy, state, underwriting class, or coverage amount represented in our research. The highest-ranked carrier in a study may be unavailable through the agency or marketplace used for a quote request. A partner’s available products and the full research ranking therefore need to be considered separately.

A link does not guarantee approval, preferred underwriting, no-exam acceptance, instant coverage, or the lowest premium unless a specific product and the applicant’s eligibility support the relevant claim. Pricing and offers depend on factors such as age, health, tobacco use, medical history, coverage, policy type, term, underwriting class, carrier, and state.

Readers should consider the actual premium and underwriting outcome alongside policy guarantees, coverage amount and duration, riders, conversion rights, contract documents, and their own financial needs. Consensus research is one source of information for that decision.

Verification and review remain independent

An affiliate relationship does not prevent us from correcting factual discussion, explaining a limitation, or concluding that a carrier may be a weaker current fit than the AI consensus suggests. Those findings can qualify the article while preserving the underlying historical recommendation record.

Applicable content may be reviewed by Chris Huntley for underwriting context, product descriptions, eligibility language, pricing, and practical limitations. His editorial review does not add ranking votes. He does not currently hold an active insurance license or sell insurance through this site, and commercial relationships should not be interpreted as his personal participation as an agent or broker.

Anyone may submit evidence of a factual or data error without paying or becoming a partner. Commercial status neither prevents a legitimate correction nor creates a right to change accurate research.

Advertising, sponsorship, and earned recognition

Affiliate compensation generally follows a qualifying reader action. Advertising and sponsorship are separate promotional arrangements and should be clearly identified. Paid promotion should remain visually distinct from earned rankings and cannot purchase votes, a Consensus Score, or a false winner designation.

If we later license research badges, awards, or rankings, the underlying result must exist independently before the licensing arrangement. Payment cannot create recognition that the carrier did not earn.

Disclosures and questions

Pages with commercial links may include a shorter disclosure near the top, alongside a ranking table, or near a quote button. The disclosure should explain that compensation may follow a qualifying action and does not influence AI recommendation data or ranking calculations.

Questions about affiliate arrangements, referrals, lead generation, or commercial disclosures can be submitted through our Contact page. Related policies explain editorial independence, advertising, methodology, corrections, privacy, and terms of use.

Life Insurance Consensus Index is a research and publishing organization. It does not issue policies, set premiums, determine underwriting classes, approve applications, or pay claims. Its commercial relationships do not change that role.
